Ready for that fun day out on the water?

We urge all skippers to make sure they have their paperwork in order and on the boat. here is a checklist below:

1. Skippers license.
2. COF certificate.
3. Buoyancy certificate.
4. All safety equipment on the boat as required by SAMSA, this should be there if you have a COF certificate.
5. NO CHILD TO BE WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION OR A LIFE JACKET.
6. All skippers are responsible for their boat, their actions and their people aboard. VRRSA are NOT responsible for any boat and the people aboard.
7. No alcohol to be sold or distributed.
We will assist the Waterwing police by monitoring and reporting any boat who misbehaves or are there illegally.

“The Vaal River Community got together on Sunday the 15th of December 2024 and had an action-filled event “Celebrating Father Christmas’s on the Vaal River” - where close to 100 Father Christmas’s and Mother Christmas’s were everywhere on the Vaal River! In boats, canoes, jet skis, skiing, fishing, braaing, dancing and having lots of fun celebrating our wonderful Vaal river!

The Vaal River came alive with excitement as we celebrated the official opening of the boating season 2024! Enthusiasts gathered for a day filled with vibrant festivities, breathtaking views, and thrilling water activities. From the ceremonial ribbon-cutting to the flotilla of boats, the event was a joyous kick-off to the season, bringing the community together in a shared love for the river. Here are some highlights!
